Story
So much love - so much power - so much lust
"Der Kommissar"
Where is Falco? For three days he hasn't shown up in the studio, the mood is irritated. You see the reporter Garbo, the manager Johnny Klein, who wants to introduce a certain Konny to Falco, and there also is a mysterious figure wearing a coat and a hat... and the butler Josef calls: "He feels like being on ice, and ice is inside of him!" Finally the star shows up and asks himself the vital question: "Do I have to die, before I can live?"
Change of scenery
What is reality, what is delusion? Falco sees "Blood on my hands", his mother puffs up to a threatening monster, commanding coldly: "Get up! It's late! We've got to leave, out of the wood!" Falco desperately calls for "Jeanny". Too much red on her lips. And Amadeus is sneaking around the dancing trees.
Change of scenery
The hallucination is over. Falco finds himself in the hotel - seated on a kind of electric chair, which Amadeus hides behind. Falco's manager Johnny advises the star to die: "Only your death will make us rich!" And Amadeus sneers: "As usual it's all about the money!"
Change of scenery - "Skandal"
When Johnny promises Falco "the beautiful Konny from the church choir", Falco is convinced: "What a dam!" Amadeus: "When she stands beside your grave in tears, she'll get all weak!" Johnny laughs diabolically, looking forward to the "Scandal". Suddenly the Kommissar shows up - or is it Satan himself? - and offers a pact to Falco: "If you love her, and she loves you, even one minute would be enough, you'll get everything that's mine on earth". But otherwise...
Change of scenery - "Titanic" and "Egoist"
Central Cemetery of Vienna. The High Society is celebrating Falco's funeral. On his coffin: Amadeus as the Mayor. The community hypocritically sings the hymn: "He had a caring heart!" In the song "Titanic" decadence is praised. Suddenly the star appears and shamelessly celebrates himself as an "Egoist". Then he leaves his jacket and the song up to his butler, to set about Konny.
Change of scenery
Falco's mother wearing a mink coat. She tells the reporter Garbo, how her son was born: "It was a fight against choking, haha!" Both leave the stage. Konny and the butler Josef show up; by singing "Madamina" (aria from Mozart's "Don Giovanni") he explains to her, that she neither was nor will be the only woman in Falco's live.
Change of scenery
Falco's Penthouse. The star is hot for Konny: "You'll be eaten on the table!" They sing their love duet: "The whole world is turning around us", when Falco's manager shows up: Furious, because Falco appeared on his own funeral. Awful threats. Falco brutally grabs the gentle Konny; she falls to the floor, crying.
Change of scenery - "Mutter, der Mann mit dem Koks ist da"
The elegant Garbo comes to interview Falco. Immediately there is a strong erotic tension. Falco lets her have a look into the "poor people's house" of his childhood: "Mutter der Mann mit dem Koks ist da!" And this man seduces the horny mother, while the little Falco is looking for shelter in the lap of Death.
Change of scenery - "Rock me Amadeus"
Garbo continues her interview. And it becomes clear, that everything is possible between them - even love? Falco: "We all are caught in a circle and return into darkness." Their lust becomes overwhelming, Garbo undresses, and Falcos enjoys being hit by her. And Konny lies in chains: "Schmerz ist der Herr meiner Zeit..." Amadeus sneers: "A man loving only one woman is cruel against the others." Falco needs a hit, which he receives out of the "entrails" of the genius: "Rock me Amadeus!"
- B R E A K -
"Europa"
Inside the cathedral. Falco splendidly marries his pregnant Konny. They solemnly swear eternal faithfulness to each other - but everything is a lie. The "Kommissar" cynically tells the audience, that Johnny Klein is the real father of Falco's baby. "The black shadow of sorrow is hanging over the child." The girl's name is supposed to be "Europa". And Amadeus is caricaturing Hitler...
Change of scenery - "Dance Mephisto"
Johnny Klein is despairing - he loves Konny. And she has his baby. Can Satan help? Johnny pays hommage to the evil in "Dance Mephisto", shouting at Konny: "Do you know how much I hate you?" And the sad girl bitter-sweetly sings the aria from Don Giovanni: "Küsse sind schön..."
Change of scenery
Falco's penthouse, the nursery: Amadeus strums the piano, while the butler Josef is swathing and feeding "Europa", tenderly singing "Schöne Wiege ihrer Leiden" and "La Piccina" ("Don Giovanni"). He is worried: does Falco sense that he is not the baby's father?
Change of scenery - "Push, Push"
Falco's new video clip is supposed to be shot inside a castle. Again everyone is waiting for him. Josef drinks to become courageous enough to inform Falco of the genetic test's result. When Falco learns the truth, he chases Konny away. But on the other hand - there's enough cocaine for everyone: "Long live women, long live drugs". Awful, and his debt is pressing him. Suddenly it is knocking on the door. Surprisingly it is Garbo, who painfully loves him. Falco chases her away, too, because now the Death is coming: the deal has to be completed! Amadeus is blowing the fanfare. And hell is opening up.
Change of scenery - "Out of the dark", "Coming home", "Sound of Musik"
In heaven. Falco meets his Jeanny again. Garbo: It was love at first sight! What does Amadeus see between the stars? The angels are parading. "The deaths of the perfect are always reflecting their lives", the Kommissar teaches. The final truth is proclaimed by Wolfgang Mozart. "Everything in music is beauty." Falco agrees. Finale, ecstasy, transfiguration.
